About me

My name is Jordi Raventós. As a winegrower and winemaker, my personal project was started in 2009 with the aim to recuperate winemaking with a strong personality using lesser-know indigenous varieties cultivated by my family here in the past.

At the same time I started to recover the Catalan Guarà donkey breed in serious danger of extintion. 

Combining the world of wine with the animal world, I created my life project, Clos dels Guarans.

Our territory

We are situated in the Penedès region, in national park of the Foix River. We are located on the shallow side of the litoral mountain range, known as Massís del Garraf whose particularity is its calcaric soils, the reason why we obtain fresh and mineral wines.

Today this breed of donkey is in serious danger of extinction. A group of farmers have come together to save them.
